Northwestern Mutual Sponsors the Fun Steps Program

 In an effort to educate youth about healthy eating habits, Northwestern Mutual Foundation has donated $50,000 to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY, to launch a program called 'Fun Steps'.  This program will run throughout the 2011-2012 school year and will utilize volunteers from The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana's Young Professionals Network (YPN), who Northwestern Mutual is also partnered with. 

Students in the program will be given a pedometer to monitor their steps and will compete in classromm challenges encouraging them to walk as much as possible.  The program kicked off with a training session with volunteers and teachers from area schools.  Drew Rice, a Northwestern Mutual financial representative, presented the check to Kosair.

Northwestern Mutual - The Evansville Group is a proud signature partner of the Young Professionals Network.  Financial representatives, such as Andrew Rice, stay actively engaged with this community organization by participating in their various activities. 

The Young Professionals Network, or YPN, is a program of the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana. They are dedicated to serving young professionals by exposing them to opportunities for professional development, community involvement, and networking.

The Evansville Group Sponsors Rotaract Golf Scramble

 Northwestern Mutual Financial Network - Evansville was happy to sponsor the putting contest at  the 11th Annual Rotaract Golf Scramble on June 3, 2011.  The event was held at the Rolling Hills Country Club and was a huge success.

Other Community Events

Financial professionals enjoy sponsoring two families each year through the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, as they’ve done for the past four years.

At Christmas time, members of the Evansville office shop for and purchase clothing and toys for the children, wrapping and delivering the gifts.

The Evansville office also is proud to have supported the Evansville Race for the Cure of the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, sponsoring a team called the Warrick Country Relay for Life.

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network - Evansville also sponsored a table at the American Cancer Society annual gala celebration in 2005, and participated in the Multiple Sclerosis Walk in 2003.
